Most guilds that beta test don't actually test. They just use it as a practice session for the big progression race...that RoI always wins*. If people were not too busy cock-waving about the progression race which is central for those 10 or so fucking guilds that find it important and ........I dunno...actually focused on finding flaws, Beta would not be as useless as it is. Most everything in beta is tested by elite guilds in full raid kits so its all a bunch of distorted bullshit. Which is too bad because most players don't have time to do beta and rely on these dickheads to do a thorough job. Yet, they never do.
The Dev team is perfectly fine with that, too. Half the time they don't listen to the beta testers anyway!
Than when the expac launches...surprise! Its a shit show. Granted this go around its been tame but it looks like the dev team is mostly going to look for exploits and save tuning for later dates.
tl;dr Beta is always about missed opportunity.
